OK...I held off blogging because I wanted to talk about our latest new feature that will help you make your shows much more interactive...but I will have to wait since it's not quite working yet :) But we have one new feature...
Ever want to be in more then one show????
OK...lets see how this works. From the Nowlive main page, if you open more then one show you can have multiple shows all OPEN!! But remember to turn the sound off and only listen to one show at a time...unless you are the ultimate multitasker!! And be careful, if your computer cannot handle multiple shows and starts to slow down, then experiment to see what are the limits!! I had 20 shows open last night...a little sluggish but fun!!
So how about a great idea for running After-Party shows!!
We have some big celeb's running shows here at NOWLIVE...Mondays it's Somaya Reece, Tuesdays it's Forbidden, Thursdays it's Adrianne Curry, and Sundays it's Bobbi Billard. These ladies generate great traffic and have loyal fans here at NOWLIVE. How about running an after-party show recapping events and given the fans a forum to call in and discuss things related to the celeb???? Lets keep these new members around and get them involved....and you will get traffic to these shows!!!
Everyone wants Nowlive t-shirts!!
OK...we are trying to keep up with the demand, but realize we will have to sell the shirts to cover the cost of getting them out the door (but we will keep them cheap!!)....baby Bigdog has been coming in to get them out the door!!! So look for our Ebay store very soon so you too can look as good as we all do in the studio!!!  One slight problem...when you look in the mirror wearing your Nowlive gear...it says "EVIL WON"...not sure if that is an omen...but I laughed pretty hard the first time I saw it!!!
OK...hopefully I will be back tomorrow with our SECRET new feature!!!
I know you may have heard this before...but people always say where does the time fly. And when you are young (like most everyone at Nowlive compared to me), it sounds stupid and something an old person would say. Well its true...it is flying by fast!! And if Bigdog starts getting forgetful, don't take it personal...just write it off to old age...so anything you want me to remember send it as a comment and not a PM in chat!!!!
A little update on BIG events:
- Ryan and Nar will be broadcasting LIVE this weekend from the largest Paintball contest in the nation...lets hope they get ambushed!!! Look for their shows all weekend.
- Ester will be doing LIVE interview at the Main Event Red Carpet Lounge during Emmytime, at The Friars of Beverly Hills, on September 13,14,15th.
- Marty Keegan will have Kevin Smith on Hollywood Babble on very soon...maybe next week!!
- Nowlive will be exhibiting and broadcasting live from podcast expo Sept.28-30 in Ontario , CA!
Lots of new shows are starting up...
If you have noticed lately, many great new shows are hitting the airwaves at Nowlive...thanks goes out to Kevtom and J-cred for making this happen!! Members...make these new hosts feel welcomed as more content will make for a much better experience. Lets not make this a competition for listeners, but rather a vast community of LIVE content with something for everyone!!
Update on Show Statistics...
Everyone wants to measure their performance...its human nature, right? We are producing a detailed set of Stats so you can measure performance, as well as use these numbers for generating revenue!! What we are finding in the interim: if you are on the AIR for an hour and had 10 listeners, we have found that the number of listeners that passed through and listened to parts of your show is approximately 15x that number!!! NO LIE...so an hour show with an average of 10 people in chat means 150 passed through your show during that time...BUT WE WILL BEING CREATING DETAILED REPORTS VERY SOON FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE!!
EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND...AND BE KIND TO YOUR ELDERS!!!!!
Be responsible, generate some traffic....right now we are averaging over 200 user generated broadcasts per day (and growing each day)!!! Less then 5% are music type radio shows, where we need to BE RESPONSIBLE playing licensed music. There are legal places to find music to play...check out this link!! Search though the many sites that have various types of music which are free to play and distribute. Also many bands and artists post music themselves for distribution through video and MP3. Also communicate with Indie bands and get Clarence to play their music as they will love the promotion!! We are also looking into using a service to play copyrighted music for a fee and will keep you in the loop on what we find!!
Get Traffic...as you know Bigdog spends a little too much time here and I have discovered something and I will let you in on a secret. PEOPLE LIKE CONTROVERSY!!! If you want to have a big crowd, and interesting show....pick a topic to debate and start a show!!! It works, no lie. Religion, politics, sports, music, TV, films are always good...But be specific, and the show will end up almost running itself.
BREAKING NEWS: Ester will have a special guest tonight Geekstine (Adrianne's mom) along with Miss Nowlive herself stopping in...all on Studio cam...should be fun at 7:00PM PST tonight...check it out!!
NEW SHOW---Matthew Fashion Mondays at 6PM PST: The official launch of Reality TV / Fashion Persona, Matthew Fashion's Nowlive.com interactive radio show online will surely be a hit, none the less expected from Mr. Fashion. Matthew Fashion has guaranteed this to be a family affair... a "Full House" so to say! Along with prominent Hollywood Night Life Promoters and friends of his in studio to celebrate; one of Fashion's closest friends Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner from child stardom fame on Full House) will join in on the action! This will technically be Jodie's first live interview since her widely public Las Vegas wedding to husband Cody Herpin. Be there!!!
NEW SHOW---Somaya Reece on The Buzz Mondays at 9PM PST: Somaya Reece DUBBED on of the TOP 10 profiles of myspace (fact supported by myspace) The only woman of ethnicity a Latina with the highest amount of friends/fans on myspace.com, with page views exceeding in the millions making her number 1 in a category all her own. Now she has her own talk show (with live web cam) on NowLive.com starting this Monday August 20th, 2007 at 9PM PST and she is looking for a co-host. To apply, you need to be running your own show at NowLive.com and prove that you have what it takes. I am looking for a funny, opinionated character - NO EXPERIENCE necessary.  Bobbi is so busy filming her movie this week she cannot do her show sunday...she is very sorry but is trying to come in this next week to do a show live in the studio to start the process of selecting ladies for her months in the calender!!

I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Everyday we have 10-20 new hosts starting up shows...many of them are new to the site, and do not have the following like some of the long time hosts. We needed more featured shows for the daytime during the weekends and it looks like I have 6 starting up soon including a DEBATE show, NAME THAT TUNE show, and a MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT show...I will give you the details once they are up!!! Ever Wonder What was said in the CHAT??...You know you can listen to podcasts of old shows. Well guess what, not you can read the complete chat log!!! Right now we only do it for the Studio shows, but will soon be doing it for all shows. You can get to the chat logs next to a shows podcast....here is one of Adrianne's from her last show!! BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY IN CHAT NOW...ITS LOGGED!!!
And remember about some new shows starting up...Forbidden is coming August 21st with her new Indie Music show, and Somaya Reece with be bringing her Gossip and Hip Hop news show at the end of the month...all on Nowlive.com!!! Fitclub tomorrow at 7pm!!! Ok the nowlivers are motivated with the Black team in the lead. In 3 weeks, the Black team has dropped 96 lbs while the White team has lost 54 lbs...biggest weight loss so far...BRIDGES at -17...nice job!! Check out the show tomorrow and lets see who is LOOKING GOOD!!

GoogleTalk....its BETA!!: I know it is frustrating and we are working on a better solution but it goes offline periodically. If you want to be safe start your show with a phone, mute the phone, and call in with googletalk and run the show off of googletalk...if it goes down you always can switch to the phone !! ALSO, you may have to re-invite SHOW2.NOWLIVE.COM for GT so if it is showing offline give that a try...and like I said, we have a much better solution in the works!!!

Remote Broadcasting taken to a NEW LEVEL: Bigdog has been experimenting and he now has a live video solution that is mobile so look for his EXPERIMENTAL shows out and about throughout the LA area. Because everyone said my first show made them carsick...on USER video you can now select on the host video and a larger window will open to keep you from tossing your cookies!!
NowLive Fitclub tonight: Tune in at 7pm PST to see who is getting in shape. So far PEZ has lost 9 lbs, and YNOT has lost 10 lbs...looks like the BLACK team is in the early lead!!!
If you have been to the site recently you have noticed the video for studio shows...pretty fun!! Well if you have your own webcam, and you are a host...guess what, you can do it too!! 
If your webcam is installed, when you mouse over your host image you will see an Icon to turn on the camera...pretty fun and easy!!!
But with webcam comes warning...and this is not a joke. We have zero tolerance for nudity on the site, and if a moderator does catch a member posting nudity or any other violation of the Terms of Use, you will be banned from the site. I hope I made myself real clear!!
HOST PIC'S ARE NOT SCALED RIGHT: Yep...we are building a great tool to create perfect host pics, but in the meantime, if you want your host picture to look correct in your show, create a perfect profile picture at 192x105 pixels and it will fit nicely in your show!!!
Also, if you are having any audio issues, or problems logging into the chat with the new player...please first try logging out and removing all cookies and Temp Internet files, then logging back in...this has fixed most members. If you continue to have problems please send a message to support...we thinkthe issue might be with having multiple accounts on one computer causing confusion for the player!!!

If you watched the special Bobbi Billard show last night you have seen the new feature of video for studio shows at Nowlive. We will continue to refine the studio shows as well as offer User generated shows the same capability...look for some users testing video for their broadcasts!!
PHASE ONE OF THE CALENDER CONTEST IS COMPLETE!!
 Look for the winners of the Top 20 posted very soon, and check out Bobbi's Sunday show at 6pm PST to she the additional 5 models chosen to complete the top 25 that all move into Phase 2 of the contest for the month of August!!
Each week in August Bobbi and her judges will select from the top 25 models for specific months in the calender!! So top 25...send in your best photos that you think will get the judges excited!!! Which month do you think Bobbi wants???
And finally...Things are moving pretty fast over here at Nowlive so its a little crazy...be patient with us, send us your ideas, and if your having any problems try to get them resolved through support and not in the chat rooms...makes for better shows :)
