Streaming LIVE from the Playboy Mansion!!!

Yes...its true bigdog has died and gone to heaven...this Friday and Saturday we will be streaming LIVE coverage of the first ever Mixed Martial Arts Event from the Playboy Mansion!!  Here are the details:

We are bringing back Peter (the awesome camera man) from the LIVE EMMY event to broadcast Fri and Sat...Fri...we will stream live from the weigh-in in Beverly Hills from 2pm-4pm PST, then that night from 8pm-11pm PST at the MMA Pre-Party!!!  Then Sat night from 7pm-11pm PST we will be all over the Playboy Mansion with LIVE reporting from the red carpet, the fight, and anywhere else we are allowed!!!!  It should be quite the experience for all...so do not miss it!!!!

EVENT PRESS RELEASE

BEVERLY HILLS, California - Strikeforce is headed to the world-famous Playboy Mansion here on September 29th.

Amongst those slated for action at the home of Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner are undefeated Strikeforce world lightweight (155 lb. limit) champion "El Nino" Gilbert Melendez and UFC and Pride Fighting Championship veteran Josh "The Punk" Thomson.

The 10-bout fight card will also host the return of Strikeforce world light heavyweight (205 lb. limit) champion and "The Ultimate Fighter" season one runner-up Bobby Southworth, as well as the return of former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star and Tough Enough 2 reality show winner Daniel Puder.

"This is another leap forward into mainstream America for Strikeforce and the sport of mixed martial arts," said Scott Coker, CEO of West Coast Productions, LLC, the parent company of Strikeforce. "We feel honored that Mr. Hefner chose the Strikeforce brand to entertain an audience at his home and we're looking forward to putting on an incredible show."

The event at the Playboy Mansion will be staged three months after the Strikeforce co-produced "Shamrock vs. Baroni," extravaganza, the first mixed martial arts event to be distributed live on SHOWTIME(r) PPV. Before a crowd of 10,850 at San Jose's HP Pavilion, former UFC middleweight champion and mixed martial arts legend, Frank Shamrock, became the first Strikeforce middleweight champion in history by choking out UFC and Pride veteran, "The New York Badass" Phil Baroni, in the second round of the star-studded fight card's main event on Friday, June 22nd.

Shows, Shows, Shows

First, make sure you tune in today to The Ron Show at noon PST where he has the Plain White T's on for an interview!!!  They do sing my favorite song BTW!!!

Second, did everyone catch Estertainment last night...WOW, over 500 people for Ester, the Rock of Love Girls, and Chris Crocker.  Ester is winning as the best guest getter on Nowlive!!!  Ron is second though!!

Third, Special broadcast tonight  Adrianne Curry LIVE in IL 5-7pm PST!!!  She will be on CAM with her special co-host J-cred!!  And she has a little controversy from her blogs right now....so read up on the details when you have a chance so you can be informed!!

New Features....see if you can find them :)

When we introduce new features...we make it like an Easter Egg hunt....so if you have not found them, here they are:

6 DIGIT SHOW ID TO START A SHOW: Remember the old days when it asked for your 4 digit show id to start your show....well its a 6 digit number now, just like the number to call into your show...add 20 to the front of your old show idea and it will be easy to remember!!!!

STATS GRAPH: Now with your podcast info you get a timeline of Chatters during your show....this is just the first of many stats to come.  Remember this is just how many Chatters at any one time (this does not include anyone listening from a widget).  During a one hr show we are finding that if you take your peak listener and multiple it by 10 you will get a good estimate of how many unique people came through your show.  We are also making it so only hosts can see their own graphs, and they also will be expandable not to dominate your profile pages.

CALLERS UNMUTED:For us who like to do remote shows in cars and on hikes, we put in a feature so you can have callers come in unmuted for your show.  Right now you will find the setting when you select EDIT PROFILE and look in the SHOW SETTINGS.  We will integrate it into the show wizard so it will be easy to change in the future.  Caroline should like this feature!!!!

PROFILE PIC EDITING TOOLS: If you go into your profile and select on EDIT PICTURE you will see new tools to crop and scale the area of your host picture so it will fit perfectly in you HOST picture for the player....no more strange cropping of your pics!!!!

We have a lot more in the works....and do not be afraid to send me ideas or complaints about design, everything helps in the long run!!!

A Little Update...

Highlight Videos: For our most popular shows, we are producing a highlight video recapping the last broadcast for each show...you can find these off the hosts profile pages.  So far we have Forbidden's, and Somaya's, and soon will have Adrianne's and John Heffron's also.  As we get better at video, we will start to offer more....including highlights from many of our live events like the Emmy's!!

Live Rooms: What are these??? Glad you asked....anytime someone is in a show page that is not LIVE ON AIR the room will appear in the Live Rooms area on the home page.  This way people see where others are and can start chatting and interacting while listening to REBROADCASTS of older shows.  Also hosts that want to interact with fans can begin a chat session with or without video never having to go LIVE on air...they can still push pictures, video, and mp3's for sound...just no live audio!!! We thought this will be a great way for members to see where the activity is on the site and interact with members...let me know what you think!!!

This has been a busy weekend doing many new types of broadcasts for the company....thank you for all your support and help during the EMMY WEEKEND!!  For our efforts, we will break all time traffic for nowlive today almost tripling the average traffic for SUNDAYS!!!  Looks like we will have more long weekends in store for the future....

GREAT NEW FEATURE!!

OK hosts, you now have some new control to really produce great shows...NOW THE HOST CAN SHARE CONTENT WILL ALL OF THERE LISTENERS ANY TIME DURING THE SHOW...make sense, let me explain.

Lets say during your show people post great pics and Youtube videos on your media wall...well as a host you can now view the pic...then select SHARE and that pic or video will load on all your listeners players at the same time!!!  Now does it make sense???  Here is a picture of the player and where the control appears below:

You select on that ARROW in the right and it appears on everyones machine at the same time...when you close it, it closes on everyones machine...SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!

So now you can load all your pics from your summer vacation and run a slide show for your listeners...or run a show on great youtube videos...this is just one more feature to help our hosts produce a much better show at Nowlive.

OK...Nowlive is probably the best thing I have ever got involved with...if it does not kill me.  So much to do, and so little time, so here is the deal and this is all I can promise.  We are a small company soon to be a big company if things go as planned, and we get a little lucky.  We have some incredible members that I would love to work for us, but we are not ready to have a staff of hundreds!!  So if you think Nowlive would be a fun career...make yourself a key part of this place, we will notice, and as we grow I would rather hire from within our network with people that have already proven their value to us.

So here are some areas that could really help:
