Hosts,
We are in the process of launching a new network with the focus on ENTERTAINMENT. This includes music, talk, comedy, and news that would all have a twist and interest for other entertainment sites. This network will only look for the best LIVE content on the web and we need to start securing the top talent for time slots within the network.
The goal is to create a massive distribution plan to get this network out to many popular sites looking for great content related to their viewers needs and likes. Think of it as our FEATURED NETWORK but on steroids and focused...and partners will pick and choose the shows they want to view in the network LIVE as well as schedule rebroadcasts of preferred shows that fit their destination (thats right....your shows are going to be fully recorded for playback).
We need to have QUALITY programming throughout the network which includes:
- Shows with real structure and content (not just viewer chat...that will be another network)
- Consistent audio and video quality (video is required)
- Meet a consistent schedule not missing timeslots
Shows will include a combination of company programming and member broadcasts which include:
- LIVE events: redcarpet, concerts, sporting events, ...
- Celebrity shows: fan, talk, music, and news
- Entertainment News
- Comedy
- Other: many of our top shows that we feel will have an interest to the network
This network will be the foundation of many more to come and will be the start of taking the best of LIVE, Interactive media and creating a distribution and business model for the top producers on the net. We understand that many of you are of a "Shock Jock Genre" which is fine for additional networks in the works, but for our initial launch of the ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK, we will need to have QUALITY, ENTERTAINMENT programming that has mass appeal.
I have started the process of picking the initial shows for the network and will start contacting each of you where we think there is a fit. We will also look to adjust scheduling to see who is flexible. We are also going outside of our site to look for additional quality content to fill programming needs (we are not looking to steal other site hosts, but find people that want to syndicate their content to a larger audience). Anyone interested in being part of this network...pitch me your show or show idea and the schedule , and we will see if you can be part of our initial launch. But again, this is going to be highly selective looking for real programming where there is quality content, audio, and video. And if you are not the right fit for this network, don't be frustrated, as we are quickly launching additional networks to cover everyones programming needs and desires!!

I would like to pitch our following shows:

Strictly Indie Entertainers of all muses; author, actor, musician, etc... We are starting to get more well known guests on our show. We have been airing since January on another site.
Quiet on the Set listeners worldwide can hear the show live at 8:00 pm EST Tuesdays, or download the show from our web site.
Being a featured guest on Quiet on the Set! allows them to market their music in a fun, convenient and affordable way.
During the hour, our audience will get to know more about them from an interview with the show's host. They can discuss their life, journey in the music world, songs, experiences, and whatever they want their new fans to know.
Musicians provide MP3 files for us to play during the hour so that fans can hear their music. They also select a favorite that will be played to promote and introduce the show.
This promotional opportunity is FREE OF CHARGE. No contract is required. Our audience is growing with every new show and reaches a collection of fans who tune-in to get familiar with who's new on the music scene and hear new music.
We also produce another show called Lets Talk Indie: Take the Next Step. This series of podcasts will be dedicated to Indie Entertainers. We will have seasoned artists explain to them their background, do's and dont's of the trade, the pitfalls they incurred and the triumphs as well. This will be a hour long podcast filled with useful information as well as big name guests. This show airs Wednesdays at 8 pm EST.
Previous big name guests: Eric Bloom of Blue Oyster Cult, Gary Helms
Upcoming Guests: Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, Michael Twitty who is Conway Twitty's son.
Shows will be airing live on Nowlive.com starting week of May 1st. To listen to previous episodes click http://quietontheset.podomatic.com and http://letstalkindie01.podomatic.com

First off, congratulations on moving forward with this entertainment network. Great to hear that it's happening.
Tomorrow Will Be Televised, the weekly Internet radio program I host and produce on this Web site, would be a natural for this network. For the last nine months, this program has because the ONLY one of its kind anywhere--TV, radio, the Web--that covers television by showcasing to the public the executives, producers and entrepreneurs who make the medium happen or are generating the medium's future. More important, it's the only program where the public, by using NowLive's chat line, can talk back to the people behind the TV they watch now and could watch down the road. The variety of guests we've had on this program--many of whom have NEVER DO OR RARELY DO live radio/TV interviews--has been incredible. They have included:
Michele Gainless, president of Comedy Central
Michael Winship, president of the Writers Guild of America East
Alex Cambert, host/producer of Mas Vale Tarde, Telemundo's late-night talk show
Matt Roush, senior editor, TV Guide
Kathy Johnson, president of NAMIC (cable industry's diversity organization)
Sarah Lindmann, general manager, The N
Keith Dawkins, VP/GM, Nicktoons Network
And in the last month ALONE, we've had on:
Ed Burns, co-creator/executive producer, The Wire (HBO)
Jane Lipsitz & Dan Cutforth, executive producers, Project Runway & Top Chef (Bravo)
Glen Murakami, Emmy-winning animator (various Warner Bros. series; Ben 10: Alien Force)
Eileen O'Neill, president, Planet Green (new Discovery Channel all-eco network)
Paul Colichman, creator-GM, here! TV (producer of Oscar-winning movie Gods & Monsters)
Lisa Sherman, executive VP/GM, Logo
Jeff Conroy, co-executive producer, Deadliest Catch (Discovery Channel)
And on our next edition this Monday, we'll have a rare joint appearance by officials from the National Association of Broadcasters and the National Cable TV Association--the two trade associations covering TV--and New York Post TV editor Adam Buckman, discussing the impact of next February's digital TV transition.
From August through December last year, we averaged 10-30 live listeners per program, had over 2,000 home page views and 400 podcasts. All without much publicity nationwide, and DESPITE the fact that the program is audio-only.
Also, we are one of the few NowLive programs, maybe the only one, that takes time to promote other shows on the site, through "web identification" breaks at the bottom or top of the hour. If you listen to the programs, we've done promos for such attractions as Adrienne Curry, The Stupid Cancer Show, Road to the White House and the live red carpet special events. And when we promote the red carpet events, we also highlight the movie release date, studio and rating, to give the event added value for the possibility of increased listenership/viewership. That allegiance to highlight other NowLive attractions for a general audience would continue as an entertainment network program. It's important that we, as NowLive hosts/producers, support and promote each other, so that the venture as a whole works and expands for everyone's benefit.
After nine months of producing/hosting Tomorrow Will Be Televised, I'm clear there's a sizeable audience for a weekly showcase of what makes TV tick. I'm also clear that we would be a valuable asset of this entertainment network if we get the shot to be showcased on it. Keep in mind that millions of people listen to radio (Internet and satellite radio included) every day, and if they knew there was a place on the Web they could turn to for TV news updates, live interviews and commentary, many would head there. Please do not reject a place for this program out of hand, simply because at the moment it's audio-only. In every way, this show fits the criteria for shows you want on this entertainment network. And this is a family-friendly program, targeting the general public. So let's go forward and make Tomorrow Will Be Televised an attraction on this service.
By the way, if NowLive establishes a studio presence in New York, similar to what you do in LA, I'm all for originating the show in that studio with a live videocam. That would open up the possibility of in-studio guests and live viewer phone calls/Webcam segments as well as chat. Keep that possibility in mind as well.
If Tomorrow is included on the entertainment network, I would like to stay in our live time period Monday afternoons from noon-1 p.m., Pacific time/3-4 p.m. Pacific time. If possible, let's go for an early evening/primetime replay on Monday or Tuesday, at 3-5 p.m. Pacific/6-8 p.m. Eastern time. I'd also like the option to do a live episode on Fridays when situations warrant, between noon-3 p.m. Pacific/3-6 p.m. Eastern time.
Thank you for listening and considering Tomorrow Will Be Televised as part of this new entertainment network. Call or e-mail me with any questions, issues or feedback.

Hi There Mr. MowLive,
We think we have a show for you. We've been doing it consistantly on Friday nights so far, but we're willing to change. We're 2 struggling artists (actor/musicians) who moved to Hollywood from the midwest, and we talk about our experiences of life out here and current events in the world --it's pretty humorous, but also has heart that people can connect to. Please contact me, or listen in on Friday night at 10pm PST -- Nothing Knew Radio -Dann Saxton
